What are the challenges of being a Spanish and k'iche teacher?
The challenge of being a Spanish teacher is very big and worthwhile as every aspect that has to do with teaching and sharing is the challenge.

How do you make your class interesting?
I think the most important thing to make my class interesting is flexibility and resources that the student brings along. The class should be interactive, not a teacher telling his/her student what to do all the time. Taking in account of individual diference and personality, I make my class dual-directional.

How was your favorite student?
I have had many wonderful students and even though there isn't any specific pattern or mold that I can use to judge my students, those who achieved greater success tended to show interest to learn from many factors including trips and activities, etc.

What do you do to grow as a professional and person?
To grow as a professional and individual, the most important thing is my self-esteem and my self-confidence in my every day activities in social, cultural, political, religious and especially, spiritual ground to maintain my mental health.

What is the best of Xela?
The best of Quetzaltenango is its respect to culture, gastronomy and history.

What would you do if you have only one more week of life?
If I had only one more week of life, I would visit my those close and dear, and I would enjoy travelling with them to the most beautiful places in Guatemala.

What were you doing 15 years ago?
15 years ago I was working in a high school and living happily.

What will you be doing in 15 years down the road?
In 15 years, if God gives me life and work, I will be living as intense as possible.

Who is/was the most influential person in your life?
The most influential person in my life is my mother and her influence was the force that pushed me to overcome my challenges and became a college graduated professional.

What is the Guatemala's biggest social issue?

What do you propose to solve the Guatemala's problems?
The solutions for the Guatemala's problem are: 1) Massive and free alphabetization. 2) Build social and individual concientiousness. 3) More equal government. 4) Sources of job. 5) Sex education and gender equality education.
