“Standing rock”is a Maya arqueologial site with Olmec influence seen in the temples. Many ruins haven't been investigated yet by both nationals and foreigners.
The place is one hour away from the city of Retalhuleu and 2.5 hours from Quetzaltenango. It is surrounded by verdant vegetation and for those who are used to the climate of Quetzaltenango, the tropical climate of the Takalik Abaj will be a big change. |
