Why do you like to host a foreign student?
Because our family likes to make new friends, present our culture and learn about the culture of our visitors. And also one of the main source of income of the country is tourism.

What are the challenges of being a host family?
The main challenge is to have him/her feel at home and make the student feel like being another member of the family.

What do you do to make your foreign students feel at home?
Let the student enjoy the pleasant and cozy environment where he/she doesn't have to feel shy about expressing how he/she feels in Spanish.

How was your favorite student?
All of them have been very pleasant and special for my family and they have left pleasant memories.

What is the best of Xela?
Its people, it's culture and their touristic places.

What would you do if you have only one more week of life?
I'll fully live the life.

What were you doing 15 years ago?
I was working at a government's office.

What will you be doing in 15 years down the road?
I'll be teaching Spanish.

Who is/was the most influential person in your life?
My children, they influence my life by making every day better so that they could also be good professionales.

What is the Guatemala's biggest social issue?
The unemployment and the corruption.

What do you propose to solve the Guatemala's problems?
Generate sources of job and encourage the foreign investment.
